We just got back from our little vacation to California, with our good friends, Chris and Lindsey!! We had a great time, we flew to San Diego, and decided to spend the
day there before we headed to our hotel in San Clemente. We stopped at Seaport Village, which I love. Growing up we always had to go to Seaport Village!! It was fun walking around the shops. We decided to walk over to see this BIG aircraft carrier they had parked at the harbor, it was enormous and so cool so see it up close. They had this huge statue beside it, it was a 50's couple kissing. The guy was a sailor and the woman was a nurse. It looked like when the men were being shipped off to war, and they were saying goodbye to their loved ones!! This picture is of me and Joe posing the same way. You can see how huge it was!!
Here we are eating that night at a restraunt on the San Clemente pier. They have the best seafood, It was delicious and so fun sitting there overlooking the ocean!!
We all decided to take a walk on the beach when the sun went down!! How romantic!!
The next day we went to Disneyland!! We were like a bunch of little kids, so giddy and excited to be there, we love disneyland. (I forgot to mention, we had no kids with us)!! They had Halloween time in Disneyland, it was decorated so cute!! The haunted mansion was totally different, it was all decorated in the theme of nightmare before Christmas. It was so neat, better then the original haunted mansion!!
The next day we were planning on spending most of the day at the beach!! As you can see in this picture it was fogging and misty, not great weather for the beach, but we had a good time anyway!!
Our last night there we went to an Angels baseball game, this is now mine and Joe's third major league baseball game we have been to together!! We love going to baseball games. We had fun but it wasn't that exciting of a game!! Then we went back to our hotel and played cards until midnight!! The next morning we got up and headed for the airport!! It went by so fast, like everything fun does!! We had a great time with Chris and Lindsey, thank for an awesome vacation!!!

man, you guys went big! i bet it was nice to have some alone time without any kids, but i am sure you missed gavin so much. i like the pic of you guys kissing by the sailor statue. what beach was that in your pic, it kind of looks like where we went (newport beach)... glad you guys had fun.

I'm not sure where else to put this but I wanted to let you know that I changed my url to meredithandblake.blogspot.com. Blake had originally setup that old name and I didn't really like it! Oh and I figured out how to change my bacjground but I still need a ton of help on other things! :)
